Property search page with filters, a list of properties and a map with clustered price markers

Overview

This demonstration project shows a real estate platform for an agency that sells and rents residential and commercial property in several cities. Visitors search by area on a map, filter by price, size, rooms and features, and open listing pages with photos, floor plans, location and costs. They can save a search, get an alert when a matching property comes online and request a viewing in a few clicks.

Behind the website, agents manage their listings, publish them in several languages, follow every enquiry as a lead and plan viewings. The agency sees which properties attract interest and which enquiries are still waiting for an answer.

The challenge

Agencies usually depend on large property portals for visibility and pay per listing, while their own website is a static page that is updated by hand and hard to search. Enquiries arrive by phone, email, portal messages and WhatsApp and are tracked in an inbox, so follow-ups slip. Buyers and tenants expect map search, instant alerts and fast mobile pages — and a property that is already under offer should disappear everywhere at once.

The solution

The concept makes the agency's own platform the source of every listing. An agent enters a property once — with photos, floor plans, costs, energy label and location — and it appears on the website in every language, in the map search and in the feeds sent to external portals. Search runs on a dedicated index, so filtering by area, price and features stays instant. Every enquiry becomes a lead linked to the property and an agent, with viewings scheduled in the agent's calendar and a reminder when an answer is overdue.

Key features

  • Map search with area selection and clustered results
  • Filters for price, size, rooms, property type and features
  • Listing pages with photos, floor plans, costs and location
  • Saved searches with email alerts for new matches
  • Viewing requests scheduled in the agent's calendar
  • Agent dashboard for listings, status and leads
  • Listings published in several languages
  • Feeds to external property portals from one source

Who it is for

  • Real estate agencies selling and renting property
  • Property developers marketing new projects
  • Rental and property management companies
  • Agencies that rely on portals for all their visibility

Technical approach

A Next.js application renders listing and search pages on the server, so every property page is fast, shareable and indexable with its own title, description and structured data. PostgreSQL through Prisma holds properties, agents, leads and viewings; Meilisearch provides typo-tolerant filtered search, and the map uses Google Maps Platform with clustered markers. Photos are stored in S3-compatible storage and served in responsive sizes. Listings are published in several languages with next-intl, while saved-search alerts and portal feeds run as scheduled jobs.

Questions about this type of project

Is this platform used by a real agency?

No. It is a demonstration project with fictional properties, agents and enquiries. It shows how Saad builds custom real estate platforms and property websites.

Can listings be sent to other property portals?

Yes, where a portal accepts feeds or offers an API. The agency enters a property once and the platform generates the feed for each portal, so price and status changes are updated everywhere from one place.

Can the platform run in several languages?

Yes. Listings, search and every page can be published in several languages, including right-to-left Arabic, each with its own URL so every language version can be found in search engines.
